Coralee Barkela was born and raised in London, educated in private schools in Europe and immigrated to the United States in 1964 to attend college in upstate New York. In 1972, Coralee moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in real estate where she specialized in luxury homes and estate properties in the coastal areas of Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and Dana Point. Coralee settled in Santa Rosa in 1984, where she teamed with Bob Bazzano to form Barkela-Bazzano Realty. Their innovative approach to the marketing of real estate lead them to open the first office specializing in luxury properties in Sonoma County. In 1988, Barkela Bazzano was responsible for over half of the sales of million dollar plus properties in Sonoma County, and received Sonoma Business Magazine's "Golden Egg Award" for outstanding achievement. During the same period, she supervised a sales staff of more than 40 full time agents. In 1989, Coralee sold her interest in Barkela-Bazzano and began to focus her knowledge and skills to the marketing of luxury homes and estate properties. Today, Coralee Barkela, known throughout the industry as the "Upscale Property Broker" is utilizing her knowledge and experience to successfully market and sell luxury properties. For the last five years she has placed in the upper three top producers in all of Sonoma County for sales volume. She has been number one for those five years in average sales price, (consistently over $500,000), thus distinguishing her as the "Top Producer" in upper end housing in Sonoma County. Coralee was affiliated with RE/MAX Sonoma Valley five years ago, and reached the top 10 out of 4,400 RE/MAX agents in sales volume for 1996. On January 1, 1997, Coralee opened her own brokerage in Kenwood called Coralee Barkela & Co. In January of 2006 Coralee bought Pacific Union Residential Brokerage and merged it with Coralee Barkela & Co.
